- Head North on the Stuart Highway for 70km
Fuel available in Alice Springs, Gem Tree and Harts Range - you may like to stop on the way to view the Tropic of Capricorn marker
- Turn Right on to the Plenty Highway and travel 140km
120km of single lane bitumen followed by 50km of gravel dirt road - you will be travelling through the Central Australian Gem Fields and will see Gem Tree Caravan Park just before leaving the bitumen
- Just past the Harts Range Police Station, turn right and follow the road for 1km.
